Biography
For more than four decades—from Fortune 500 companies to fast-growing startups—I’ve been exploring a single question: why do well-designed strategies and capable teams still struggle to deliver the results they want?
Early in my career at Hewlett-Packard, I discovered that execution rarely fails because of effort or intelligence. It fails because people interpret change differently. They bring their own meaning, history, and assumptions into every plan, every conversation, and every decision.
That insight led to The Living Organization® Framework, which shows that all outcomes are shaped by three forces: • Activity — what we do • Relationship — how we interact • Context — the meaning and stories that drive our responses
Simply put Outcomes is determined by our behaviors (Activity and Relationship) and Behaviors are driven by Context.
For years, I applied this work directly with CEOs and executive teams through Quantum Leaders. Today, my focus has expanded.
I’m building a global community of Living Organization® practitioners—coaches, consultants, and internal leaders—trained to bring this work into organizations with depth, integrity, and real-world impact.
Whether I’m working directly with executive teams or developing practitioners, my work centers on helping leaders: • Uncover the hidden contextual forces shaping performance • Strengthen relationship energy • Build capability & maturity to increase the capacity for execution
If your strategy isn’t producing what you know is possible, the issue may not be what your organization is doing—but how it’s making meaning of its world.
