Biography

Ami B. Bhatt, MD, FACC, is the chief innovation officer (CIO) at the American College of Cardiology. She is a national leader in creating the AI-enabled clinician, collaborating with technology companies to ensure equitable implementation and scale of high-quality cost-effective systems, and recommending transformational healthcare companies for investment. Dr. Bhatt has 20 years of experience as a clinician, investigator and educator with over a decade of experience in telemedicine and digital health. She was previously an Associate Professor in Medicine at the Harvard Medical School and served as Director of Outpatient Cardiology, TeleCardiology, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Bhatt co-designed the MGH Elevate Leadership Program, focused on fostering agility, communication, and creativity to develop the next generation of impactful leaders in medicine. Most recently, she has been appointed as the inaugural Chair of the FDA Digital Health Advisory Committee.
