Biography
Michael Chavira is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Axiologic Solutions, which provides AI, data science, systems, and data engineering solutions to the Defense Intelligence Agency and other government clients.
He built the company from the ground up, growing it from a two-person enterprise to a robust organization with over 300 staff members, generating nearly $100 million in annual revenue. Known for his collaborative leadership style, he has empowered and managed high-performance teams with a 95% top-talent retention rate. Well-versed in identifying and securing new business opportunities and collaborative partnerships, Michael oversaw the acquisition and integration of Knowledge Link in 2020, expanding the company's service offerings and market reach into the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. In 2022, he led the acquisition of Data Intelligence Technology, which expanded Axiologic’s reach into the intelligence community, resulting in a 45% acceleration of company growth.
Michael worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as a systems engineer, integrating sensor systems for the U.S. Army and saving $40 million by applying LEAN principles to program management and design processes, while leading soldier training. A strong advocate for AI's efficacy in operations, he supports a balance between technology and human oversight, emphasizing ethical AI usage. He recently spoke at American University about AI's impact on education and workforce preparation.
He earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Wyoming, being a native of that state. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy, working in its Intelligence division as a Lieutenant. Innately curious and someone who deeply believes in continuous learning, Michael holds two M.S. degrees (Finance, Systems Engineering) and an MBA. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Business Administration at Drexel University.
A devoted husband and father of three, Michael loves camping, hiking, and the outdoors. He shares those passions with his family and through his philanthropic work as Chair of the City Kids Wilderness Project Buffalo Bill Center of the West, and Executive Committee Member of The Boy Scouts of America.
